I just got back from a six-day kayaking trip to the san juan islands. this is tony kimbro's boat with the nearly full moon lighting a side bay of the san juan channel in the backround. it was such an awesome trip! we ate from the sea every day, in a continuous cycle of sleep, eat, paddle, eat, sleep, eat, paddle, eat, sleep..... very beautiful.

I've passed this scene a few times now while driving down to elmira to work early in the morning. fog from the wetlands flows into the fields, and the sun gives it a powerful glow.
