I've passed this scene a few times now while driving down to elmira to work early in the morning. fog from the wetlands flows into the fields, and the sun gives it a powerful glow.

we were hiking through the woods to collect nettles and came across a fallen cedar tree... the long, straight, thin roots were easily accessible and we collected quite a bit. good times.

I've been hanging out at fernridge wildlife area near veneta in my time off there. it's an incredibly lively place, and the light is amazing at the ends of the day.

friends lucas and sonya, who crammed themselves into the back of my tiny hatchback with all of our stuff, and risked life and limb to get to silver city with me. by the way, if either of you read this... I found out later that one of the wheels was about to fall off. I fixed it though. maybe next time I won't run out of gas either.
